Protecting Trade Unions
Industrial action is the backbone of projecting working families from greed and abuse, and this backbone has been pulled away by conservative governments time and time again. We recognise that impossible turnout requirements have left us with a ban on industrial action in all but name, even actions such as "do exactly what we are being paid to do and no more", and we will restore the ability to call industrial action in a protected manner.
Unions Equality
Unions are non negotiable - no matter what sector, no matter what role. We will remove any and all sector-specific union restrictions.
A Fair Living Wage
As productivity has continued to soar, wages have continued to broadly stagnate. We will raise the national minimum wage to £11/hour immediately.
A Job for Everyone
The People's Movement will commit to a voluntary full employment program, ensuring that everyone who wants a job can have one suitable for them, without punishing those who choose not to work for whatever reason.
Fixing our Work-Life Balance
A five day working week is no longer sensible, no longer sustainable for our mental health. A four-day working week is beneficial for everyone, from workers to employers, and will allow us all to truly live our lives.
Wage Equality
A minimum wage that discriminates against age is one that refuses to recognise that costs of living for adults are the same, or expects others to make up the difference. This is ludicrous, and we will remove any age discrimination in the minimum wage.
